REVIEW: LANEIGE X PLAY NO MORE INTENSE LIP GEL #1 & #10

How are you guys? I’m back with another lip product review and the two items I got are from Laneige. I got them when they were on sale and I would have been very devastated if I wasn't able to get my hands on them.

Laneige collaborated with Play No More in 2015 and came up with limited edition items that are so pretty and girly. They released 10 shades of the intense lip gels and I got shades #1 Rosy Nude and #10 Squeeze Plum. This line also included 2 designs for the BB cushion and 1 mascara.

LANEIGE X PLAY NO MORE INTENSE LIP GELS #1 ROSY NUDE & #10 SQUEEZE PLUM

I LOVE THE PACKAGING! THE PINK BOX HAS CUTE LIPS AND HEARTS ON IT! *DROOL*

THE BOX ALSO LOOKS A BIT LIKE THE BAGS FROM PLAY NO MORE

THE SHADES ARE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH AND HANGEUL

THE TUBES ARE PRETTY SLIM AND LOOK AT THAT DESIGN! ;)

YOU CAN SEE THE SHADES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TUBE

MORE HEARTS AND LIPS!

THIS HAS THE USUAL DOE FOOT APPLICATOR BUT THIS PICKS UP THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PRODUCT

SWATCH L-R: #1 ROSY NUDE & #10 SQUEEZE PLUM

LANEIGE X PLAY NO MORE INTENSE LIP GEL #1 ROSY NUDE

This is something between a liquid lipstick and a lip gloss. #1 looks more peachy nude-ish when I applied it on my lips. I was expecting more of a dusty rose shade like the shade at the bottom of the tube and the promotional pictures. I swatched this on a piece of paper and it looks like the dusty rose I wanted (maybe I should try putting on lip concealer next time?). The product is quite sheer but the color is buildable and pretty. This is very moisturizing and not super sticky like the usual lip gloss. This has a glossy finish but would fade after a few hours. I noticed that this shade would emphasize the lines on your lips so better exfoliate and moisturize your lips before using this. Oh! Did I mention that this lip gel smells like peaches?

LANEIGE X PLAY NO MORE INTENSE LIP GEL #10 SQUEEZE PLUM

This has the same texture as #1 Rosy Nude but this applies more evenly. This is also moisturizing and has a glossy finish. Both lip gels are not transfer proof so frequent touch ups is recommended. Unlike #1, this does not emphasize the lip lines.

LANEIGE X PLAY NO MORE INTENSE LIP GEL #1 ROSY NUDE (applied all over the lips) & #10 SQUEEZE PLUM (applied on the inner lips)

Overall rating:

#10 Squeeze Plum gets 10/10! #1 would have gotten a perfect score if it weren’t for the shade being too peachy (9/10). The lip gel is very moisturizing even without lip balm and not heavy at all. I love the packaging and the design! I love everything about it! Definitely recommending this to all lipstick/ lip gloss/ lip tint lovers out there! will purchase more shades soon!

See you on my next post! XOXO

REVIEW: Etude House Color in Liquid Lips BE102 & RD302

Annyeong haseyo everyone! I’m back with a new review. This time, I’m giving my thoughts on Etude House’s Color in Liquid Lips BE102 (Beige in Chick) and RD302 (Red in Kiss). I’ve seen other brands with this kind of packaging like Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge (review HERE) and Maybelline matte and glossy liquid lipsticks but Etude House has the most number of shades available.
Etude House originally released 20 shades of this product then added 5 new shades from the Bling Me Prism line and 10 more shades from the Berry Delicious line.
Claims to: “Color in Liquid Lips fills the lips with a light and smooth texture that slides into lips for vivid color and a transparent shine.”
Packaging:
Etude House is known for their very cute, girly and princess-y packaging. Even the designs of the boxes are very cute! Thumbs up to the Etude House team! I LOVE ALL OF THEIR PACKAGING!
The liquid lipstick comes in a small plastic tube that looks like an actual lipstick (I didn’t find the packaging appealing at first coz I thought it looked like a toy and regretted not looking at it more closely). The tube is not bulky so I can throw it in my purse without worrying about it being too big.
Shades:
I haven’t seen any brand release this much colors. There are a lot of shades to choose from! Color ranges from pinks to oranges and reds and even purple. These are very pigmented, perfect for those who love rocking the bold lips. You would definitely not leave the shop with just one color.
Application:
It comes with a lip shaped applicator which I find very hard to use. TT_TT I also had a hard time pulling out the applicator from the tube, like it’s always getting stuck and I have to pull really hard. Is it just me?

Swatch:
L-R BE102 Beige in Chick & RD302 Red in Kiss The product is so pigmented!
Etude House Color in Liquid Lips BE102 has more of a beige pink color which is perfect for me. It matches well with my natural lip color (my lips but better… sort of) and doesn’t make me look sick. The consistency of the product is buttery (?). It glides smoothly on my lips (with or without lip balm). My lips look pretty and moisturized... After an hour or so, I noticed that it would settle on the lines of my lips and would feel a little bit dry. *Sigh* Putting a lip balm/lip gloss on top or retouching it would do the trick.
RD302 is a very bright red shade. It also glides on smoothly on the lips and makes your lips look really full. I noticed that this leaves a little bit of reddish tint once I wipe it off, unlike the BE102. Both liquid lipsticks have a glossy finish and not sticky.
I also tried using these two products for the gradient lip look and I think it turned out really well!
The product is not transfer-proof and needs to be reapplied. This would stay on very long if you don’t drink or eat.

Overall rating: 7/10
I’d give this a perfect score if it weren’t for the applicator always getting stuck in the tube and the product feeling a little bit dry after a few hours. RD302 would look messy after a few hours since it moves around. I love how the lighter shade applies on evenly unlike my Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge. That’s it for today!

REVIEW: Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge #2, 3, 9 & 10

Annyeong haseyo! Welcome to my blog, The Study in Pink! This is my first post, so there would be some errors here and there but I hope you'll enjoy reading the contents and find it helpful. Today's review is about my favorite lip product from Innisfree. The Real Fluid Rouge comes in 10 different shades and I got 4 of them (#2, 3, 9 & 10). I got these from TheSideBum (check her on Instagram & Facebook if you're interested) when Innisfree was on sale.
The shades are written on the box like any other lip product. (I can read hangeul but I don't understand what the words mean, I tried using google translate but the translation does not make any sense to me at all...)
Packaging: The product comes in a clear plastic tube (so you can see the shade and how much the product is inside the tube) and has a matte white top which can easily get dirty so I always put the lip product back in it's box.
The boxes are so pretty!
Claims to: Provide moisture gloss, vivid color, great fitting(?) and has Camella oil which is known for its great moisturizing and anti-oxidant properties.
This product has the usual doe-foot applicator.
Swatches: L-R #2, 3, 9 & 10
The colors are pretty and super pigmented! #2 & 3's swatch look almost the same on the back of my hand right? But once applied on the lips, you can see the difference.
Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge in #2 has light peachy-pink color, great for everyday use.
Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge in #3 has a bright orange shade which reminds me of summer.
Innisfree Real fluid Rouge in #9 has a rosy pink color (my favorite) also great for everyday use.
Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge in #10 has plum-ish color and has the most even application among the 4. The consistency of the lip product is thick like liquid lipstick. Application can be a little bit difficult for shades #2, 3 & 9 because they come out uneven. This product has a glossy finish and is sticky (but not as sticky as lip gloss). Not drying at all but I had to check my lips in the mirror a few times because this tend to move around/ transfer.
Warning: This product is not transfer-proof! Frequent touch-ups is a must!
It does leave a little (little, little, little) bit of tint after being wiped off with a tissue.
Overall, I love this product for its shades, packaging and pigmentation. I hope Innisfree improves the consistency of the lighter shades because they tend to be uneven looking when applied. So far #10 has the most uneven application.
Rating: 8/10
